Crop a PDF, free, in your browser

Trim the white margins automatically, with one box for every page so they stay the same size, or take off exactly so many millimetres from each side. Nothing is re-drawn: the page's crop box changes and text stays text. Nothing is uploaded.

How cropping works here

  1. Drop the PDF. It opens in a worker in your tab.
  2. Trim or cut. Trim white margins finds what is printed on each page and keeps a little space around it. By margins takes off what you type from each side.
  3. Download. Each page's visible area is set to the new box. Readers show and print only that area.

What it does

  • Finds the printed area by drawing each page small and looking for ink.
  • Keeps all pages the same size when Same size is on.
  • Leaves blank pages as they are.
  • Changes no content: text, pictures and drawings stay exactly as they were.

What it does not do

  • It hides what is outside the box but does not delete it; to remove content for good, use Redact PDF.
  • It does not straighten scanned pages.

Questions

Is the cut-off part deleted?

No. It is hidden, as in every PDF crop: readers and printers show only the box. To delete content for good, use Redact PDF.

Why do my pages stay the same size?

Same size uses one box for every page, the smallest that fits all of them. Turn it off to fit each page on its own.

Can I crop scanned pages?

Yes. Trim white margins works on scans too; set Keep around a little higher if the scan's edges are grey.

Does my file leave my computer?

No. Everything runs in your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded.
