How signing works here
- Open the PDF. Drop it on the page or choose it. It opens in the editor in your tab, with the Sign tool picked.
- Make your signature. Draw it, type it, or upload a picture of it. It is kept for this tab only, ready to place as often as you need, together with initials and the date.
- Place it and save. Click where it goes, or click a Sign here field. Drag to move it, pull a corner to resize it, then save the signed PDF to your device.
What it does
- Puts the signature on the page as part of the document, so it prints and shows in every reader.
- Turns a typed signature into drawn outlines, so it looks handwritten and adds no font to the file.
- Makes the white around an uploaded signature see-through.
- Fills the document's own Sign here fields at their size.
- Saves flattened on request, so nothing on the page can be moved afterwards.
What it does not do
- It is a signature as on paper, not a certificate-based digital signature; where a law asks for an advanced or qualified signature, use a certificate from a trust provider.
- It does not send the document to other people for their signatures.
- It does not keep your signature after the tab is closed.
Questions
Is a signature made this way legally valid?
For most everyday agreements, a signature placed on a PDF is accepted as an electronic signature, as a signature on a scanned page is. Some documents need an advanced or qualified signature with a certificate; this tool does not make those.
Can I sign on my phone?
Yes. Draw with your finger in the signature pad, then tap the page where it goes.
Is my signature stored anywhere?
Only in this browser tab while it is open. It is not uploaded and not kept after you close the tab.
Can I sign several pages?
Yes. Your signature stays ready while the tab is open: click on each page where it goes.
Does my file leave my computer?
No. The PDF opens and is saved in your browser tab. The only network requests are the site's own files.
