Merge PDF files, free, in your browser
Combine as many PDFs as you like, in any order. Bookmarks are added per file, page sizes are kept, and your files never leave this tab.

How merging works here
- Drop the files. Drop or paste any number of PDFs. They open in a worker in your browser tab; nothing is sent anywhere, so there is no size limit beyond your device's memory.
- Put them in order. Use Up and Down in the list. Each file gets a bookmark in the result, with the file's own bookmarks under it, so a long document can be navigated by the piece it came from.
- Merge and download. The pages are copied into one new document with their resources, the result is checked by re-opening it, and the download is ready. From there: compress it, protect it, or open it in the editor.
What it does
- Keeps every page at its own size and rotation.
- Copies pages as objects: nothing is drawn again or re-compressed.
- Adds one bookmark per file to the result's outline, and keeps each file's own bookmarks under it.
- Reads password-protected files when you type the password.
What it does not do
- It does not keep a bookmark to a page you left out of the merge.
- It cannot merge a file whose password you do not have.
- It does not merge pictures with PDFs; turn pictures into a PDF first with JPG to PDF.
Questions
Is there a limit on files or pages?
No. The only limit is your device's memory: a 300 MB merge works on an ordinary laptop, and the page tells you if a file is too large for the browser to hold.
Are bookmarks and links kept?
Web links are kept, and links from one page to another inside the same file keep working. The result gets one bookmark per file, pointing at its first page, and the bookmarks that were inside each file sit under it and open the same pages as before. Turn the bookmark per file off and the files' own bookmarks follow one another at the top.
Can I merge images with PDFs?
Not directly. Turn the pictures into a PDF with JPG to PDF or PNG to PDF first, then merge that with the rest.
Why is the merged file bigger than the sum?
It usually is not. Pages are copied with their fonts and images, and shared resources are written once per source file. A file that uses the same font in every source carries that font once per source: a few kilobytes for a font cut down to the letters used, about 200 KB for a font embedded in full. Compress PDF does not merge fonts, so start from files made with fonts cut down where you can.
Does the order of pages change?
No. Files are merged in the order of the list, and every file's pages stay in their own order. Rearrange pages afterwards with Organise pages if you need to.
Does my file leave my computer?
No. The engine runs inside your browser tab; the only network requests are the site's own files. Once you have merged files here, it keeps working with Wi-Fi off.
