Put several PDF pages on one sheet, free

2, 4, 6 or 9 pages to a sheet to save paper or make handouts, or a booklet: pages ordered so that printing on both sides and folding the stack gives a little book. The layout is chosen to make the pages as large as possible. Nothing is uploaded.

How the layout works

  1. Drop the PDF. It opens in a worker in your tab.
  2. Pick the layout. Choose how many pages go on a sheet, or Booklet, and the paper size.
  3. Download and print. Pages are placed as vectors in reading order, left to right and top to bottom. For a booklet, print on both sides flipping on the short edge, then fold.

What it does

  • Turns the sheet to whichever way makes the pages largest.
  • Adds blank pages at the end of a booklet so its page count is a multiple of 4.
  • Keeps text sharp and searchable.

What it does not do

  • It does not carry over links, form fields or comments.
  • It sizes the grid to the first page; very different page shapes in one file get extra white space.

Questions

How do I print the booklet?

Print the file on both sides, flipping on the short edge, keep the sheets in order, and fold the stack in the middle. The pages then read in order.

Why are some booklet sides half empty?

A booklet needs a multiple of 4 pages, so blank pages are added at the end.

Will the text be too small to read?

At 2 or 4 per sheet it stays readable; at 9 it is small. The layout always picks the orientation that makes it largest.

Does my file leave my computer?

No. Everything runs in your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded.
