How the watermark is added

  1. Drop the PDF. It opens in a worker in your tab.
  2. Type the text and pick its look. Choose the angle, colour, strength and size, and which pages get it.
  3. Download. The words are drawn over each page as see-through text, sized to the page so every page looks the same.

What it does

  • Sizes the text to each page, so A4, Letter and landscape pages all look alike.
  • Keeps what is under it readable: the text is see-through.
  • Writes it as real text in a standard font, so the file barely grows.

What it does not do

  • It does not lock the document: anyone with a PDF editor can remove a watermark; add a password with Protect PDF if that matters.
  • It does not add picture or logo watermarks yet.
  • It uses a standard PDF font, which draws Latin letters only.

Questions

Can people remove the watermark?

Someone with a PDF editor can. A watermark marks a document; it does not secure it. To stop changes, also protect the file with a password.

Will it hide the text under it?

No. It is see-through; pick Faint or Light to keep the page easy to read.

Can I watermark only some pages?

Yes. Type ranges such as 1-3, 7 instead of all.

Does it work on landscape pages?

Yes. It is centred and angled on each page as it is shown.

Does my file leave my computer?

No. Everything runs in your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded.
